In Silence Shrouded!

by stupendous man

“A lonely Journey in a Darkened Dream
Time has come to spread my wings”

Forests, cold and still
Canopy of ashes replacing the green
The eternal skies
Failing in its task to shine the light upon us
As the birds of the night cry
For our damnation
To guide the souls that are lost
To provide solitude to those who wander
Into grief, and a storm of sorrow
To show them the landscapes less morose
To instill faith where there is no hope
The place where I dwell
The home to the despair thoughts
Where the shame that hung by the chain
The noose around the neck, falls free
Because this garden, albeit cold
Is wrapped within a shroud of autumn hues
Where the quiescence fields smell like you.
